Called Level Lock+ from Level Home, the device is an exterior door lock that has been described as the smallest, most capable smart lock on the market. The first Home Key support lock stocked in Apple's stores, the lock is currently available in "Satin Nickel" and "Matte Black" options available only in the US.
In addition to devices, users can use their voice by asking Siri to unlock the door. With the Level app, access can be shared between family and friends. The lock uses a hidden CR2 battery to power the NFC connection; this is what your iPhone or Apple Watch will use to unlock the door. Expressing a familiar minimalist design, installation takes 15 minutes according to Level and requires only a screwdriver.
It's interesting to note that the Master Key feature can be used to unlock a door even if a device has a dead battery. In addition, the Level app allows users to share access with guests, auto-lock and unlock options, and set up keycards.
