"WhatsApp is working on introducing more options to personalize the app's appearance. The latest beta update reveals a new theme customization feature, allowing users to change the theme color of the WhatsApp app. Currently, WhatsApp prefers green tones in its user interface, but beta testers will now have the option to choose colors from a palette to customize elements like icons and badges. The new theme customization will enable users to select different colors such as blue, pink, and white. In addition to the main theme, this feature can be used to customize the colors of message bubbles, allowing users to create fully personalized themes within the app.

On another note, WhatsApp is making changes to backups as of 2024. Android users will no longer consume Google Drive space for backups. The company had previously announced that backups would be moved to Drive starting last month. While theme customization is still in the development stage and currently available to beta testers, it's unclear when these personalization options will be rolled out in stable versions for both Android and iOS."
