The newly unveiled OWC Atlas CFexpress 4.0 Type B Card Reader is set to revolutionize data transfer times for photographers and various professionals. Operating at the upper limits of Thunderbolt's transfer capabilities, this device significantly slashes the time it takes to move large files. When used in conjunction with an OWC Atlas Ultra memory card, it achieves astonishing real-world transfer speeds exceeding 3300MB/s.

Not just high-performing, the OWC Atlas CFexpress Card Reader is also designed for portability. Its dimensions and weight are comparable to an iPhone, making it a breeze to carry in a pocket or a camera bag. This device is bus-powered and is provided with a USB-C cable, negating the need for separate power sources.

Featuring Innergize technology, the card reader allows users to check the health status of OWC Atlas memory cards, restore them to optimal performance, and perform firmware updates. This technology is accessible through Innergize, a complimentary application by OWC, which guarantees the memory cards consistently perform at their peak.

To ensure stability during use, the card reader is equipped with non-skid rubber feet. Additionally, it comes with an OWC ClingOn, a stabilizing accessory, to secure the USB-C cable connection. The ClingOn uses adhesive to attach to both the cable and the device port, providing a secure and stable linkage, thus enhancing the overall reliability of the data transfer process.

The card reader operates without a fan, featuring a design optimized for thermal efficiency to ensure silent performance. Additionally, its operational status is easily monitored through an integrated LED indicator.

This card reader boasts broad compatibility, supporting a variety of devices and systems including those equipped with USB4 and USB-C, such as Macs, Windows PCs, iPads, Chromebooks, as well as tablets and smartphones.

System Requirements
The OWC Atlas CFexpress 4.0 Type B Card Reader is engineered for extensive compatibility. It is designed to work with macOS, requiring version 10.13.4 or newer, thus catering to a wide range of Mac users.

For Windows enthusiasts, the device ensures compatibility with Windows 10 and subsequent versions. It also offers enhanced functionality for macOS devices equipped with Thunderbolt 3, requiring macOS version 11.1.0 or later to leverage its full potential.
