After the iPhone 15 series was unveiled last September, attention, as usual, turned to the next model, the iPhone 16 series. The latest news shows that the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will be similar to the iPhone 12 and iPhone X in general terms. Here are the latest schematic images...
iPhone 16 and 16 Plus schematics leaked
For those who missed it, previous leaks of the iPhone 16 suggested that the camera and key layout would change. At this point, while the overall design language will remain the same, the diagonal camera placement will be shelved. This means that the camera sensors on the back will be aligned vertically, just like the iPhone X and iPhone 12. The leaked schematic images confirm this.
Looking at the images, the iPhone 16's camera island has two different sensors and a microphone. We also see that the protrusion has increased noticeably. This is likely due to the larger sensors. The rest of the design is similar to the current models, but there are some minor differences. For example, the flash module has now been moved out of the camera island.
On the front, we see that the notch is divided into two parts. However, this will not be the case as the US giant will fill the gap between the Face ID sensors and the front camera. On the bezel, there is the action button that we often talk about. The capture button will be exclusive to Pro models. It was previously rumored that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus could come with a LiDAR scanner.
To recall, this feature, available on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, enables the collection of depth details. However, we see that this module is not included in the images of the iPhone 16.
