As the anticipation builds for Apple's next iPhone release, TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared his latest predictions regarding the color options for the iPhone 16 series, set to launch in the fall of 2024.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Kuo outlined his expectations for the upcoming iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max models. According to Kuo, the base models—iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus—will largely retain the same color palette as the current iPhone 15 lineup, with one significant change. The existing color options of black, green, pink, and blue are expected to stay the same. However, the pale yellow variant will reportedly be replaced by a color Kuo refers to as "white," which may align with Apple's "Starlight" shade—a whiteish-gold hue.
For the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, Kuo predicts that the "Natural Titanium," "Black Titanium," and "White Titanium" options will persist from the iPhone 15 Pro series. Notably, the current "Blue Titanium" option is expected to be replaced by a new "Rose Titanium" color. This shift indicates Apple's continued experimentation with unique finishes to distinguish its premium models.
Kuo's predictions also imply that Apple might not significantly alter the exterior design of the Pro models, maintaining the titanium finish that has been well-received. This is supported by rumors that each iPhone 16 model will have its own distinct screen size. The iPhone 16 is expected to keep the traditional 6.1-inch screen, the Plus at 6.7 inches, while the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will reportedly increase to 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively.
These predictions suggest a steady evolution in Apple's design strategy, focusing on subtle but impactful changes such as color options and screen sizes.
Apple is anticipated to unveil the iPhone 16 lineup during its annual September event, where these new colors and features will be officially confirmed.
