After the arrival of new iPhones, AirPods and Apple Watches in September, Apple is now preparing the debut of new MacBook Pro models with more powerful M2 Pro and M2 Max processors, with an event expected to take place in October. According to the latest information, the brand can increase its sales in the segment and conquer a greater market share thanks to them.

In an article published by DigiTimes Asia for subscribers, the forecast is highlighted that the new MacBook Pro should boost Apple's share in the notebook market, with the company being able to have the highest increase in the last five years.

According to industry sources, sales of MacBooks have been "relatively stable", but the arrival of the new models should represent a new positive phase for the brand.

New iPads and Macs Coming in October?

Apple is expected to hold its traditional October event to introduce new computers and tablets with minor and major updates.

Regarding iPads, we expect the arrival of the 10th generation iPad with a new design combining the old with the new: keeping the asymmetrical screen edges and front Touch ID, but with a straight body inherited from the iPad Mini, Air and Pro. The model must support Apple Pencil 2, USB-C and 5G connector thanks to the A14 chip (same as the iPad Air).

The new iPad Pro is expected with the same M2 chip present in the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 13-inch, new connector (ending support for the Magic Keyboard and other iPad Pro accessories with three pins), MagSafe support for wireless charging and possible new layout focusing on horizontal use, moving Face ID to the side edge and positioning the Apple logo also on the horizontal axis.

There are rumors that raise the possibility that Apple will take the M2 Pro chip to the iPad Pro to distinguish it from the iPad Air — which should debut with the M2 chip next year. In this way, the company would seek to differentiate tablets that are currently practically identical, since the more powerful models offer Face ID, rear cameras, faster UBS-C and a 120 Hz Pro Motion screen.

Although the scenario for MacBook expectations is more nebulous, it is very likely that Apple will announce the new MacBook Pro with the same renewed look as the previous year, but betting on new M2 Pro and M2 Max processors.

There are rumors that raise the possibility of announcing the new Mac Mini also with new processors, although its possible new more compact design would have been discarded by Apple.

More precise details on what to expect from the new Macs and iPads should emerge in the coming days as we get closer to the official event scheduled for sometime in October.
