Kendrick Lamar, the acclaimed rap megastar and Pulitzer Prize winner, will take center stage as the headliner for Apple's 2025 Super Bowl halftime show. Scheduled for February 9th in New Orleans, Louisiana, this performance will mark Lamar’s first Super Bowl appearance as the lead act, following his Emmy-winning performance during the 2022 halftime show alongside Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Snoop Dogg.
Lamar’s upcoming performance comes after a series of career milestones, including his 2024 hit single, "Not Like Us," and a widely publicized feud with Canadian rapper Drake. Known for his thought-provoking lyrics and powerful stage presence, Lamar is expected to bring an unforgettable show to the tens of millions who tune in to the Super Bowl.
NFL head of music Seth Dudowsky praised Lamar's ability to "craft moments that resonate, redefine, and ultimately shake the very foundation of hip-hop," adding excitement to the 2025 event.
In the official press release, Lamar confidently stated, “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why.” His passion for the art form and dedication to pushing boundaries have made him one of the most respected artists of his generation.
Super Bowl LIX will kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET, and anticipation is building for what promises to be another iconic performance from one of hip-hop’s brightest stars.
