We continue to hear new information about the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro models that Apple will introduce later this year. For those who missed it, we previously told you about the benchmark results of the iPhone 16 Pro series. In the past hours, new information was shared about Apple's A18, which is expected to power the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus.

N3E process for Apple A18
As you know, Apple has been using new and previous generation processors in recent years to differentiate standard iPhone models from Pro models. However, recent reports suggest that this tradition will be broken. It is said that iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will be introduced with A18 Bionic, while iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will be introduced with A18 Pro processor.

In the newly leaked iOS 18 codes, the existence of A18 Bionic has been confirmed. The chipset that will power the iPhone 16 series will be powered by TSMC's second generation 3nm node N3E process compared to the A17 Pro. At this point, all of this year's flagships - Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, Dimensity 9400 and Apple A18 - will feature similar lithography.

The Apple A18 Bionic will reportedly offer upgrades such as productive AI, an improved 48MP rear camera, and expanded screen sizes, especially up to 6.9 inches. Its performance is not clear for the moment. But according to the Geekbench 6 leak, the A18 Pro achieves the highest single-core score we've ever seen. In multi-core scores, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Dimensity 9400 will complete the race ahead.
