Apple is expected to make a design change in the iPhone 15 series, especially in the Pro models. There will be no physical keys on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, nor will there be a mute switch. Instead of,Apple Watch UltraWe will see a customizable action button like
Action button coming to iPhone 15 Pro models
The mute switch, which has been on every iPhone model since 2007, will be replaced by the action button with the iPhone 15. It is said that various functions can be assigned to this key for easy access, as in the Apple Watch Ultra .
Other than mute, shortcuts such as activating the do not disturb mode, turning on the flashlight, switching to low power mode, switching to dark/light mode, accessing the notification or control center, turning on the camera can be assigned. In fact, most of these functions were introduced as an accessibility feature with iOS 14, “Back Tap”, and were even exaggerated as the iPhone's secret key on social media platforms. Now this feature will actually be found as a button.
Volume keys will also give vibration feedback
However, the action button of the iPhone 15 Pro will continue to work for a while after the phone is discharged. In addition to the action button, there will be a single volume key to adjust the volume . The keys for volume up and down will have a solid state design. So, instead of a physical button that can be pressed, there will be a button where we will receive vibration feedback .
Will not be on standard models
These changes will be exclusive to Pro models. The mute switch and two volume buttons will remain in place for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models .
