Apple introduced the passkey feature that allows users to log into their Apple accounts on the web without entering a password.iOS 17It will bring with the update. Password-free login feature will come with iOS 17, iPadOS 17 and macOS Sonoma.

The Passkey feature will not be available only on Apple sites such as Apple ID and iCloud. It will also help users sign in without a password on sites that support signing in with Apple. It will also be possible to register or log in to the account by scanning the QR code from the iPhone on websites that support the passkey.

A standard based on device-based authentication that uses Face ID, Touch ID, or PIN instead of passkey, password . Users do not need to remember their login information. Passkeys don't replace passwords, they're just an alternative way of logging in. After the passkey is created, it is synchronized between devices.

Google also supports passkey based login for Google accounts.
