The charger polemic between Brazil and Apple continues unabated. US technology giant Apple removed the charging adapter from the boxes with the introduction of the iPhone 12 series. In Brazil, the government made big moves in this regard in the past months, punishing Apple and stopping the company's iPhone sales on the grounds that it 'sold incomplete products'.

Apple still does not comply with this requirement, despite the millions of dollars fine. Saying that the company is harming its customers by not offering adapters, the government has therefore decided to take a new step on the subject.

Authorities in Brazil have begun confiscating iPhones in retail stores due to Apple's continued failure to meet the charger requirement. In a report published by Technoblog, it was stated that consumer protection authorities seized hundreds of phones from different stores. It was also stated that with this move, the regulator aims to ensure that Apple complies with local laws that require chargers to be removed from phone boxes.

CALL APPLE TO BRAZIL

Apart from these, it was also among the information that the regulator ordered to ban the sale of iPhones without a charger in the box. Although Apple started the system of not putting a charger in the box with the iPhone 12, it later brought this situation to the iPhone 11 with an update. This showed that even the iPhone 11, which was introduced in Brazil 3 years ago, was wanted to be prevented from being sold.

Apple Brazil has appealed to the government following the confiscation of the iPhones, urging them to allow sales until a final decision on the discussion is made. The giant company, in its statements to Technoblog, emphasized that it will continue to sell phones in Brazil despite this operation.
