The Unicode Consortium, which oversees the creation and management of emojis, has unveiled a preview of potential new additions for 2025. According to Emojipedia, this collection could introduce several unique symbols, including a Bigfoot-like creature, an apple core, and a "fight cloud" reminiscent of classic cartoon scuffles.
Each year, the Unicode Consortium’s Emoji Standard & Research Working Group proposes new characters for approval. This process involves evaluating submissions from across the globe to ensure they represent a diverse range of concepts and cultures. For the upcoming Emoji 17.0 update, a total of 164 new emoji symbols were submitted in November for consideration.
