Apple Watch Ultra 3 will be delayed
In his post today, Kuo stated that work on Apple Watch Ultra 3 has not started yet . So much so that Kuo points out that this is "unusual" considering the length of the development phase. Niketim had already started preparations for Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the same period last year. Therefore, if no action is taken by December, we will not see a new Apple Watch Ultra until 2024.
Kuo pointed to Apple's "innovative health management features", "completion of new features" and ongoing Micro LED issues as the reasons for this delay. Additionally, unless Ultra 3 is released in 2024, shipments of the Ultra series are expected to decline by 20 to 30 percent next year. This will result in an approximately 10 percent decrease in global Apple Watch shipments (35 million)
As for what we can specifically expect, it is stated that the Watch Ultra 3 will have a 2.1-inch Micro LED display . As you know, Apple has been working on this technology for years and we may finally see it implemented in the Apple Watch Ultra. Nike's current form factor will also be a good starting point for micro LED technology.
