The escalation of tensions between China and the US over Taiwan may put technology companies that manufacture in Taiwan in a difficult situation.
Apple has decided to take new measures for China, which has tightened customs inspections following the tension.
Apple's request for made-in-China labeling
According to a report in Nikkei, Japan's top-circulation business newspaper, Apple has requested that products made in Taiwan not be labeled "Made in Taiwan" and that the labels be replaced with "Made in China".
Apple, which is preparing to introduce the iPhone 14 in September, does not want to face situations such as delays in any parts, fines or blocked shipments.
Apple plans to change the labels to "made in China" and thus pass China's customs inspections.
