Apple's mixed reality glasses, Vision Pro, were made available for testing by journalists.
On 19 January, the first trials of the glasses, which will start pre-orders, were made and comments were made.
EYESIGHT FEATURE
Vision Pro's EyeSight feature allows those watching the device from the outside to see the user's eye movements in real time.
For example, it was stated that a small reflection of the application is seen from the outside, as the user's eyes will be seen, as well as which application is being looked at.
"IT WAS EXTREMELY REALISTIC"
"Talking to someone wearing Vision Pro today, the look in their eyes was very realistic," said Josh Rubin of Cool Hunting.
"MAY FEEL EXCLUDED"
The Verge's Victoria Song described the Eyesight feature as "a bit silly" but said the feature works as intended.
"When the user blinks, the headset image flashes. When the user's eyes are immersed in a virtual world, the image disappears.
Everything seems clear as day, but the wearer may feel left out."
"HAND GESTURES FEEL 'NATURAL'"
Apple has implemented features in the Vision Pro device that replace controllers, allowing users to control actions on the screen using only their hands.
The lack of controllers is said to be liberating and makes navigating the interface much simpler.
VOICE COMMANDS AND EYE TRACKING
One of the ways in which users can apply hand controls is the virtual keyboard, which can also be controlled by voice commands or eye tracking.
THE BIGGEST PROBLEM OF THE DEVICE
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman predicted that weight would be "the device's biggest problem".
"APPLE VISION PRO IS TOO HEAVY"
Famous technology content producer Marques Brownlee was among those who tried Vision Pro.
Brownlee shared on his social media platform X, "I tried Vision Pro for the first time: Damn this screen is incredible and the eye tracking is like magic and it feels so futuristic and also a little heavy.
Second try: The immersion factor is still too high. Custom videos are hit or miss, you have to get the distance right. And wow, this thing is really heavy, I'm not sure how long I can wear this"
Third attempt: Damn this thing is heavy. Also the typing experience is good. There are some cool new apps to check out. But wow. It's too heavy."
Brownlee stated that the device starts to get heavier after a certain period of use and may cause neck pain.
WHEN WILL APPLE VISION PRO BE RELEASED, HOW WILL IT BE?
Apple Vision Pro will be available for pre-orders on Friday 19 January. The glasses, which will go on sale with a price of $ 3,499, will go on general sale on Friday 2 February.
