Apple's Vision Pro has made a significant splash in the enterprise market just months after its launch in February 2024. During the recent Apple Q2 earnings call, CEO Tim Cook revealed that the device is now being used by half of the Fortune 100 companies, highlighting its rapid adoption among top-tier businesses.

The Vision Pro, Apple's inaugural spatial computer, has stirred both excitement and skepticism in the tech community. Despite the absence of specific sales figures in the earnings report, Tim Cook's commentary underscores the device's strong performance in the corporate sector.

Apple CFO Luca Maestri provided insights into the diverse applications of the Vision Pro within these enterprises. Notable uses include aircraft engine design at KLM Airlines, collaborative efforts at Porsche, and innovative kitchen design at Lowe's. The device is also fostering the development of spatial computing applications, with luxury brand Gucci among those creating unique experiences tailored to the Vision Pro's capabilities.

Further emphasizing the broad utility of the Vision Pro, Tim Cook compared its diverse applications in the enterprise sector to the widespread use of Mac computers across various industries. He noted its deployment in numerous fields including training, healthcare for surgical prep, and control center operations among others.

"Our focus is on growing that ecosystem and getting more apps and more and more enterprises engaged," Cook stated during the call. The enthusiasm for Vision Pro was palpable at a recent company event, hinting at its promising future.

While the $3,500 price tag may place the Vision Pro beyond the reach of the average consumer, its early success in the enterprise arena suggests it has found a lucrative niche. Apple is expected to expand on this success with the upcoming introduction of visionOS 2.0 at WWDC in June.
