Apple fans anticipating the next iteration of its mixed-reality headset can look forward to an updated Apple Vision Pro 2 before any budget-friendly models hit the market. According to recent reports, the tech giant is focusing on releasing an enhanced version of its flagship headset with an upgraded M5 chip as early as late 2025 or spring 2026.
The refreshed Apple Vision Pro is expected to feature the latest M5 processor, providing more processing power and efficiency, while retaining the overall design of the current model. This move aligns with Apple's strategy to capitalize on the start of the M5 chip cycle, further boosting the performance capabilities of its mixed-reality headset.
While there has been ongoing speculation about a less expensive "Apple Vision" model, renowned supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo now forecasts that this entry-level version won't see the light of day until at least 2027. Kuo suggests that simply reducing the price won’t be enough to boost sales significantly, leading Apple to delay its plans for a budget variant.
