Smartphone version of immigration game "Papers, Please"
Do you know the popular PC game "Papers, Please" released in 2013? The game is nine years old, but with the release of the smartphone version on August 5, it is back in the spotlight. In Papers, Please, players take on the role of an immigration officer in the fictional communist state of Arstotzka, reviewing documents submitted by prospective immigrants visiting the border. It is a so-called spot-the-mistake game where you decide whether or not to enter the country by checking for incomplete documents. Due to the unstable situation in Arstotzka, the number of documents that players have to check increases day by day, and they have to deal with things like smuggling weapons. This unique world view is supported by many gamers. Papers, Please was released on the game distribution platform "Steam" in 2013 and later became playable on the PlayStation Vita and iPad. The price of the newly released smartphone version is 610 yen for the App Store and 650 yen for the Android version. Users who purchased the iPad version in the past can download the iPhone version for free. As of August 10, Papers, Please ranks first in the Japanese App Store's "Role Playing (Paid App)" ranking. Why don't you try playing during the Obon holidays ?
