Apple is making changes in the production of its flagship smartphone. iPhone 14 and 14 Plus failed to meet expectations.

Apple, the biggest name in the smartphone world, broke records again with the iPhone 14 series. As expected, although the order density is experienced, the standard models of the series are almost disappointed. For standard models, alarm bells are ringing.

iPhone 14 and 14 Plus stop production for a while

Especially since the iPhone 11 series, differences in Apple's smartphones stand out. The company is gradually increasing the differences between the standard and Pro models. The bitter bill of this policy of Apple has been announced. The technology giant has ordered to stop the production of the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus.

Apple's instruction was sent to its largest suppliers, Foxconn, Hon Hai, Pegatron and Luxshare Precision. The company has transformed the production plan it set for the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus into Pro models. This highlights the gap between the standard and Pro models.

Kuo, famous for iPhone leaks, recently stated that the pre-order results for the ‌iPhone 14‌ and ‌iPhone 14‌ Plus were worse than the third-generation iPhone SE and iPhone 13 mini. Apple stopped orders for both the third-generation ‌ iPhone SE‌ and ‌ iPhone 13‌ mini in the first half of 2022 due to low demand .

On the other hand, this situation makes things worse for Apple, which wants to reduce its production line in China. But that's not the only bad news on the subject. Foxconn stated that the iPhone production plan will suffer due to the quarantine, and the gradual reduction plan will spread over even longer periods.

Additionally, Ming-Chi Kuo shared new details regarding the company's non-Chinese production. Accordingly, Apple will completely turn its direction to Thailand in 3 to 5 years for main production. In addition, the company is expected to increase the production percentages of Tata Group in India and its contract manufacturers Pegatron or Wistron.
