Finally, with the release of the iPhone 14, technology giant Apple has admitted that the phone is designed to be easier to repair compared to previous models.
iFixit has released a review video of the iPhone 14 showing a clear overhaul of iPhone models so that repairs and fixes are done by you. It is expected that repairing the rear window will be easier and much cheaper, as promised by the Apple company. A metal frame is used to make the front of the phone accessible. According to iFixit, the phone's new build makes the design more repairable than other Android phones
In addition to the rear glass, on the iPhone 14 we see that the earpiece and front camera have been re-adjusted to a more repairable position compared to previous generations of Apple iPhones. While the repair is simpler, it looks like we'll still need the help of Apple technicians to provide and activate the parts after installation. iFixit still claims that the iPhone 14 is the most repairable device since the 2016 iPhone 7. This change is hardly a surprise, as Apple has recently faced a series of lawsuits involving US state legislatures and the federal government.
