Apple has just released a third firmware update for its AirPods Pro 2, aiming to resolve bugs and improve the overall stability of its popular wireless earbuds. This latest update carries the build number 7A305 and is applicable to both Lightning and USB-C models.

The update follows two earlier firmware releases in quick succession, with the most recent one being on September 18. While Apple’s release notes only mention "bug fixes and other improvements," the frequent updates suggest a focus on optimizing the performance of the AirPods Pro 2.

Automatic Updates As with all AirPods firmware, users don’t need to manually trigger the update. It installs automatically when the AirPods Pro 2 are placed in their charging case and connected to an iOS device.

How to Check AirPods Firmware Version If you want to check which firmware version your AirPods Pro 2 is currently running, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Select "General."
  3. Tap "About."
  4. Scroll down and select your AirPods.

A menu will appear showing the current firmware version and other relevant device details
