Apple enthusiasts and developers, get ready! The tech giant has just released the third round of developer betas for its current operating systems, including iOS 17.5, macOS Sonoma 14.5, and others. These updates are now available for download via the Apple Developer Center or through an over-the-air update on devices already running previous betas.

This latest rollout follows the second developer betas released on April 16 and includes updates for iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, watchOS, and macOS. Developers can expect new builds such as the iOS and iPadOS 17.5 with build number 21F5063f, replacing the earlier 21F5058e. Other updates include the third build for tvOS 17.5 and HomePod Software 17.5, as well as a new build for watchOS 10.5.

In addition to the new beta versions for current operating systems, Apple has also released the third Release Candidate (RC) builds for older macOS versions, Monterey 12.7.5 and Ventura 13.6.7, showcasing continued support for previous generation software.

The iOS 17.5 beta notably includes Apple's new Web Distribution system, aimed at allowing developers to distribute iOS apps directly to EU users without going through the App Store. This move is in response to the Digital Markets Act and marks a significant shift in how apps are distributed across Apple devices.

Developers are advised to install these beta versions on non-primary devices to avoid any potential data loss, and always maintain adequate backups of important data.

Stay tuned for the public beta releases, which are expected to follow soon after these developer versions.
