Apple, unable to obtain permission from China, is in a quandary about which artificial intelligence to employ. It's known that there have been discussions between Apple and Google for a while. According to rumors, while Apple is preparing to release the Gemini AI platform in its upcoming iOS updates, the same does not seem to apply for China.

Due to restrictions imposed on Google by China, Google services are not accessible, forcing Apple to seek alternative solutions. So, which AI will Apple use? Here are the details:

Apple is gearing up to launch iOS 18 in China with Baidu AI As is known, the Chinese government bans applications from other countries by promoting local platforms. Now, it seems they will do the same with Apple and Google's Gemini AI, compelling Apple to use China's artificial intelligence. Apple's latest devices will be launched in the Chinese market with Baidu AI, an alternative to Google Gemini AI. The new feature is expected to be introduced with iOS 18, which is slated for release in the fall. Earlier reports also revealed that Apple had discussions covering Large Language Models (LLMs) with Alibaba and another unnamed Chinese company. Following these discussions, Baidu's Ernie Bot was favorably received by Apple due to its advanced features and is likely to be featured in the operating system update intended for the Chinese market, equipped with Baidu AI and Ernie Bot AI capabilities.

According to analysts, Apple's behavior will specifically increase its brand value in China and can be used as a significant advertisement. According to Baidu CEO Robin Li, the company's AI applications will continue to generate substantial revenue this year, and the collaboration with Apple will make Baidu even more comprehensive.
