Apple Music has expanded its selection of personalized music offerings with the introduction of the "Heavy Rotation Mix," a new daily playlist featuring users' most frequently played tracks. This addition follows the platform's special Valentine's Day "Love" and "Heartbreak" stations, enhancing its lineup of automatically generated favorite playlists. Unlike the weekly Favorites Mix, the Heavy Rotation Mix is refreshed daily, offering a dynamic selection of 25 songs that users have shown a particular fondness for by playing them repeatedly. The term "heavy rotation" refers to tracks that receive a significant amount of playtime, indicating that this playlist will mirror users' current listening trends closely.
With this update, Apple Music now offers a trio of playlists catering to users' listening habits, including the "Heavy Rotation" and "Favorites" mixes, alongside a personalized station named after the user. Additionally, the "Get Up! Mix" and the monthly Replay playlist also feature a user's preferred songs, though the Get Up! Mix is not strictly limited to favorites.
