Not only will all iPhone 15 models have Dynamic Island , according to rumors, but according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, it will be a different and updated version than the one used on the iPhone 14 Pro.
Change to iPhone 15's Dynamic Island
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the proximity sensor on the iPhone 15s will be integrated into Dynamic Island. On the iPhone 14 Pro, the proximity sensor is located under the screen (outside the Dynamic Island). It is also stated that this change will not make any changes to the Dynamic Island size . Meanwhile, the proximity sensor detects when the user holds the phone to his ear and allows the screen to be turned off.
As Kuo points out, this change is unlikely to make any difference to Dynamic Island's appearance or functionality. The fact that Apple is taking such a decision is probably due to costs. On the other hand, Finisar , which supplies proximity sensors to Apple , will begin to provide Apple with proximity sensors with a wavelength of 940nm, compared to 1380nm in the iPhone 14 Pro
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 15 series in September as usual. The A17 Bionic chip is expected to be used in the Pro models of the iPhone 15 series, and the A16 Bionic chips in the normol models. In addition, all models will now switch to USB-C charging sockets instead of Lightning.
