Introduced earlier this month and expected to be available in our country soon, Apple AirPods Pro 2 TWS headphones are receiving the first firmware updates.
The new firmware is version number 5A377, and the release notes say it comes with bug fixes and “other improvements,” but we don't know what bugs were fixed and what improved with this update.
Firmware updates on AirPods are usually updated while charging and within the Bluetooth range of your iPhone, iPad or Mac. And there is no standard way to manually install updates, so you have to wait for the update to reach your device.
However, if you don't know what firmware your AirPods have, make sure your iPhone/iPad is running the latest OS version, open the Settings app and go to Bluetooth > AirPods . Now tap on the “More Info” button denoted by the “i” and go to the “About” section to find the firmware version.
On a Mac, Option-click the Apple logo from the Apple menu and choose “System Information” . Now click “Bluetooth” and look under your AirPods for the firmware version.
