As you know, Apple launched AirPods Pro 2 a few months ago. It looks like the company is having some issues with the production of the wireless headset. Famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple has instructed Chinese supplier Goertek , which produces the second generation AirPods Pro, to suspend production .
Kuo also stated that another Chinese supplier , Luxshare , has expanded the production of AirPods Pro 2 to fill the gap and has now become the sole supplier of the wireless earbuds. Unfortunately , it is not yet known why production was suspended at Goertek .
No demand issues
The experienced analyst thinks this is due to production problems rather than demand . It is unclear when Goertek will resume production of AirPods Pro 2. It is also unclear whether the issues affect the already sold second-generation AirPods Pros. Time will tell if the latest development will cause an out-of- stock issue especially this holiday season .
