Supply problems started in Vision Pro
As you know, although Apple Vision Pro makes a big noise with its features, it is not expected to reach high sales figures . The reason for this is the $ 3,500 price tag. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says the opposite of these claims. In his new report, Kuo emphasized hardware and supply problems and stated that half less Vision Pro would be produced than originally planned . This is almost not enough to meet the demand of 1 million units planned for 2024 . Therefore, Kuo stated that the low-cost Vision Pro, which was expected to be introduced in 2025, was also canceled.
It is also estimated that Apple Vision Pro 2 will enter mass production in the first half of 2027 at the latest. According to Kuo, Apple will not offer any hardware upgrades until the 2nd generation glasses. Therefore, Kuo argues that there will not be much of an increase in shipments of the Vision Pro unless Apple reduces costs. It looks like it will take some time for the Vision Pro to become a mainstream product like the iPhone.
