United Airlines and Air Canada Lead the Way in AirTag Link Sharing

How It Works

Generate a Shareable Link:
Travelers can create a Share Item Location link within Apple’s Find My app.

Share with Airline Customer Service:

This link can be securely shared with authorized customer service personnel at the airline. Recipients must authenticate to view the AirTag's location.

Privacy and Security:

The shared tracking is temporary: Automatically expires after seven days. Ends immediately once the item is reunited with its owner. Users can revoke the link manually at any time. Why It Matters

Airlines and passengers alike face challenges with lost luggage, affecting thousands of travelers daily. This feature provides:

Proactive Tracking: Gives airlines the precise location of luggage tagged with an AirTag. Enhanced Recovery Speed: Enables airlines to locate and return items faster.
