Apple released the highly anticipated iOS 17.2 update in recent months. This update brought important innovations. In this context, the vast majority of users upgraded their iPhones to the new version. However, many people started to complain that "CarPlay does not work" with iOS 17.2.
"CarPlay not working" complaints started with iOS 17.2
The 1.3 GB iOS 17.2 update brings a new Diary app, a new option for the Action button, shared playlist creation for Apple Music, and contact key verification for iMessage. Apart from these, it also seems to have brought an annoying problem.
On Apple's official support forum, Apple Community, users have started complaining that they can't connect to CarPlay after updating their iPhone to iOS 17.2. Moreover, it is said that Apple's recently released iOS 17.3 does not solve this problem.
The exact cause of the problem is unknown for now. Although some users stated that they solved the connection problem by changing the USB cable, this does not seem to work for everyone.
Looking at the complaints, it is possible to say that the problem is mostly experienced on iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, not only iPhone 15 Pro Max, but also iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 series users are reportedly suffering from the same problem.
Apple is expected to release an update that will bring a solution to this problem. It is not known when this version will be released. Although the estimates show the coming weeks, it seems that there is nothing to do but wait for now.
