PayPal has expanded its payment options for business users by integrating Tap to Pay on iPhone for PayPal Zettle and Venmo users across the United States. This move comes after the platform embraced Apple Pay in September 2023, broadening its support for contactless payments. This feature allows small businesses to accept payments directly on their iPhones, catering to the growing preference for cashless transactions among consumers. According to PayPal's Nitin Prabhu, this innovation aims to provide small businesses with an affordable and flexible payment solution that isn't confined to a fixed location, potentially increasing their customer base and sales. Users can process contactless card and digital wallet payments, add taxes, issue receipts or refunds, and accept tips, with funds settling quickly into their Venmo or PayPal Zettle accounts.
