We finally have a good idea of when the exact date is — mimicking last year where we saw the unveiling of the iPhone 14 and the Apple Watch Series 8
This ear, we expect to see updates to the best devices, including the iPhone 15 product line, Apple Watch Series 9, a new version of the Apple Watch Ultra, and maybe even an update to the AirPods line.

September Apple event: What will Apple announce next?
Given we now have some idea of the date of the next Apple event, we can match previous Apple events to see what products might be coming when we tune in to see Tim Cook present the show from Apple Park.
It's the iPhone event is generally the event that fits in the September slot, and this year is likely to be no different. This year, it's the turn of the iPhone 15 and its Pro versions, with all their cool, rumored updates, including USB-C. Apple Watch updates also tend to come in the September event — this year it's going to be Apple Watch Series 9, as well as a potential Apple Watch Ultra 2.
What else could there be? Well, there are several ideas. There could be an update to a member of the AirPods line, like the AirPods Max, which would follow from Apple's release of the Beats Studio Pro. There could also be some news about the release of the iPad mini 7, whose predecessor is now two years old.
When is WWDC 2024?
WWDC took place from June 5th to June 9th in 2023 and June 6th to June 10th in 2022 so we anticipate a very similar date for 2024.
What could be coming to iPhone 15 in the September Apple event?
There are some big updates that could be coming to the iPhone 15 family this year, not least of all the change from a lightning connector on the bottom to a USB-C port. This could allow for faster data transfer, as well as faster charging.
That faster charging will fill up the bigger iPhone 15 battery, which is said to use battery stacking tech from electric cars to make for bigger capacity. This increase in battery capacity will be greatly received by iPhone 14 users who are finding the battery life of last years phone less than stellar.
There are other updates as well; slimmer bezels, a better camera for the iPhone 15 Pro, and the move to the A17 chipset to make the phone snappier and easier to use. The latter might only be coming to the Pro models, but until the event shows us what we can expect, it remains in question.
The iPhone 15 is going to come with the final launch of iOS 17 — a big software update that we've been enjoying while testing out the betas. There's the new standby mode that acts like a bedside clock while the iPhone is charging, as well as new mental health tracking apps amongst other updates.
When is the next Apple event?
The next Apple event looks like it's going to be in September; and recently, we've had some news that it's likely to be on September 13. That matches up pretty well with the previous timeline of Apple events, so it's more than likely that it's accurate.
How about Apple Watch; what could coming in the September Apple event?
It's going to be Apple Watch Series 9 — the logical continuation from the Apple Watch Series 8. There will likely be a new finish in the form of titanium, as well as some updates to the layout of the buttons. This doesn't sound like a huge update, but it's well worth watching to see what's going to be new for the Smart watch.
There could also be an update to the Apple Watch Ultra in the form of the Apple Watch Ultra 2, including new finishes and new software features. This one isn't as completely likely as the Series 9, but it could well make an appearance.
The Apple Watch SE 2023 could also show its face at the event, although there is little in the way of news or rumors as to what we can expect from the latest version of the budget Apple Watch.
WWDC 2023: What was announced at WWDC 2023?
The last Apple event was WWDC 2023, where we saw some big updates and hardware, much of which we now have in our hands. Software-wise, iOS 17 and WatchOS 10 were unveiled alongside macOS 14 and iPadOS 17, all with big updates that we've been playing around with in Beta form.
If you want to play with the Betas as well, their public versions are out now in the form of the watchOS 10 public beta or the iOS 17 beta.
We also finally got to see the Vision Pro headset, Apple's entry into the VR and AR space. We got a glimpse of the device itself, as well as the software behind it. There was also a new 15-inch MacBook Air, which we've subsequently given a five-star review, and the latest Mac Pro and Studio models for those looking for a new Mac.
