McHale also shared a screenshot from Find My, revealing that the device is located in one of several buildings, but he cleverly avoided revealing any specific addresses.
The incident highlights the usefulness of Find My but also serves as a reminder from authorities: while the feature can help locate lost devices, it’s always best to involve law enforcement rather than attempting to retrieve the item yourself.
As McHale awaits updates from Find My, some have speculated that the watch could have been left on another plane, potentially explaining its immobility. However, if the device were still in the air, it would likely show movement as the aircraft travels.
