Design examples for the iPhone 16 Pro have been shared. For those who missed it, one of the biggest changes in the iPhone 15 Pro series was the Action button replacing the Silent Mode button. We had previously mentioned that this button would be standard on all iPhone 16 models. However, the Pro series hinted at a different design. But the latest design samples, named "Proto2," indicate that Apple will stay true to the current design. The most significant difference will be the Capture Button.

Test samples of the iPhone 16 Pro:

Small Action button and combined volume button Large Action button, Capture button, and combined volume button Large Action button, Capture button (aligned with the frame), and separate volume buttons Latest Sample: Capture Button (aligned with the frame), similar Action Button, and separate volume buttons The fourth configuration being tested on the iPhone 16 Pro indicates that the Action Button and separate volume buttons from the iPhone 15 Pro will be retained but will feature a Capture Button aligned with the frame. The Capture Button will be capacitive, meaning it will respond to the user's touch and will not be mechanical.

Some may recall that this design was first discovered in the early prototype examples of the iPhone 15 Pro. Capacitive, or touch-sensitive buttons, were expected. However, these plans were canceled.

As you know, the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro series were introduced last September, and there is still a long way to go for the iPhone 16 series. Since nothing is final at this stage, we will have to wait for some time. However, changes exclusive to the Pro series are certainly on the way.
