Rumors surrounding the iPhone 16 Pro's display have previously hinted at improvements in brightness, including the use of Micro Lens Array technology to maximize OLED light output. Now, according to a report from South Korea's ETNews, both models in the iPhone 16 series will incorporate Samsung's latest M14 screens. These OLED displays are equipped with 14 advanced materials, optimizing performance and longevity.

While specific details on the increased brightness levels haven't been disclosed in the latest report, a leak in May 2024 suggested a potential boost to 1,200 nits for the iPhone 16 Pro, surpassing the 1,000 nits of its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro. Notably, this marks the first time Apple will integrate Samsung's latest generation screens, which are also slated for the Google Pixel 9 series.

The iPhone 16 Pro is anticipated to launch in September, coinciding with the expected release window for the Google Pixel 9 later in 2024. In addition to improved brightness, earlier speculations have indicated larger displays for both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max compared to their iPhone 15 counterparts—6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max, up from 6.1 inches and 6.69 inches, respectively.

Stay tuned for further updates as Apple prepares to unveil these enhancements in its upcoming flagship models.
