Microsoft has updated the Phone Link app in Windows 11 and now supports Apple iPhone. This update allows you to make phone calls, text messages and even use iMessage from a PC running Windows 11. This is a great convenience for Windows 11 users. So how do you set up and use iMessage on Windows 11?
HOW TO INSTALL AND USE IMESSAGE IN WINDOWS 11
Apple devices generally work within their own ecosystem and don't integrate much with the outside world. However, Microsoft has made some basic iPhone-compatible functionality available in Windows 11 with the Phone Link app. You can now send and receive iMessages, make phone calls and receive notifications on Windows 11.
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to install and use iMessage on Windows 11:
Step 1: Launch the Phone Link app on your Windows 11 PC. The app will give you Android and iPhone options. Select iPhone and a QR Code will be displayed.
Step 2 : Now launch the Phone Link app on your iPhone and tap on the "Scan QR Code" option.
Step: 3 Scan the QR Code on your iPhone.
Step 4 : Turn on Bluetooth on Windows 11.
Step 5 : After this step, you will be asked to pair via Bluetooth. Make sure your iPhone's Bluetooth is turned on. Tap "Continue" and accept all the permission prompts that appear on your iPhone.
Step 6 : Your Windows 11 computer and iPhone will exchange pairing requests, make sure you accept them on both devices.
Step 7 : Finally, go to Settings > Bluetooth on your iPhone and connect to your computer. If your iPhone is already connected, you can skip this step.
When you follow these steps to set up and use iMessage on Windows 11, you can make phone calls, send and receive iMessages and interact with notifications. This saves time as well as making your work easier.
However, some important features of the Phone Link app are not yet fully integrated with iPhone. For example, there is no option to send or receive photos, videos or voice messages through the app. The ability to make FaceTime calls is also not available.
