This new tool, available through Apple Music for Artists, makes it easy for musicians to share the songs performed at their shows directly with fans.
For fans, this is a great way to relive their favorite moments from a live performance, but it’s also helpful ahead of a concert. Knowing the set list in advance allows concertgoers to see if their favorite songs will be performed, making the experience even more exciting.
Once an artist creates a Set List playlist, it becomes available on their Apple Music artist page. The playlist can also be shared on social media, helping to promote future tours and engage with fans. The playlist’s cover art prominently features the artist’s image along with the words "Set List" at the top, alongside the Apple Music logo.
For artists, creating these set lists is simple. The easiest way is to keep their Bandsintown account up to date with tour dates. This allows for integration across platforms like Shazam, Spotlight Search, and Apple Maps, linking the set list to the upcoming concert. However, if they don’t use Bandsintown, they can still create set lists manually.
To build the playlist, artists can log into Apple Music for Artists, select the Artist Content section, and choose Artist Playlists. From there, they can create a new Set List by adding details like the show type, event name, and date. After that, they can search for and add the songs they performed on tour. They can even include covers or collaborations with other artists.
When a tour ends, the playlist can be hidden but saved as a draft for future use. That means the Set List can be republished whenever the artist wants to bring it back, allowing fans to access it at any time.
