Apple Original Films celebrated the opening night screening of the Stephen Curry documentary at the San Francisco International Film Festival+

On Thursday night at SFFILM Festival, Apple Original Films and A24 celebrated the opening night screening of the highly anticipated documentary about basketball superstar Stephen Curry, from Emmy-winning filmmaker Peter Nicks, which will be released in select theaters and premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, July 21, 2023.

Attendees included director and producer Peter Nicks, producers Ryan Coogler, Sean Havey and Erick Peyton, executive producers Tiffany Williams and Zinzi Coogler, Curry’s Davidson College Coach Bob McKillop, Curry’s Davidson College teammate Jason Richards and Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services.

“Stephen Curry: Underrated” is the remarkable coming-of-age story of one of the most influential, dynamic and unexpected players in the history of basketball: Stephen Curry. This feature documentary — blending intimate cinéma vérité, archival footage and on camera interviews — documents Curry’s rise from an undersized college player at a small town Division I college to a four-time NBA champion, building one of the most dominant sports dynasties in the world.

Apple TV+: The Last Thing He Told Me

On Thursday evening, prior to the debut of the new series "The Last Thing He Told Me," Apple TV+ celebrated the world premiere of the series Starring and executive produced by Jennifer Garner, the seven-episode drama will make its global debut on Apple TV+ on Friday, April 14, 2023 with the first two episodes, followed by one new episode weekly.

For Content Bingers, the full series will be made available on May 19.

Based on the acclaimed, No. 1 New York Times bestselling novel by Laura Dave, and produced by Reese Withersoon's Hello Sunshine, “The Last Thing He Told Me" follows a woman, Hannah (Garner), who must forge a relationship with her 16-year-old stepdaughter Bailey (Angourie Rice) in order to find the truth about why her husband (Coster-Waldau) has mysteriously disappeared. New Cast Member for 'Echo Valley' Series

In early March Patently Apple posted a report titled "Julianne Moore teams up with Sydney Sweeny in a new Apple Film titled 'Echo Valley.' Echo Valley centers on Kate Garrett (Moore), who is reeling from a personal tragedy and spending her days boarding and training horses at the picturesque Echo Valley Farm, located in southeast Pennsylvania. When her wayward daughter Clare (Sweeney) arrives late one night covered in someone else’s blood, the story veers into thriller territory and examines how far a mother will go to save her child.

Deadline reported last week the Domhnall Gleeson to co-star in the developing series. Gleeson joins the cast in the role of a local criminal who forces himself into Kate’s life, disrupting her quiet existence with secrets about her family.

The film will be produced by Scott Free’s Ridley Scott and Michael Pruss, Ingelsby and Kevin Walsh for The Walsh Company under his multi-year Apple TV+ producing deal. Pruss and Ingelsby developed the script together. The film will be executive produced by Scott Greenberg, Scott Free’s Rebecca Feuer and Nicole Jordan-Webber. Erika Olde and Sam Roseme will also executive produce through Black Bicycle Entertainment. Tanja Tawadjoh will co-produce.
