Apple has rolled out "Apple Sports," a complimentary sports app available to all iPhone users. This new application is designed to offer real-time scores and statistics to sports enthusiasts, enhancing the iPhone user experience with comprehensive sports coverage.
According to Apple's announcement, "Apple Sports" is compatible with devices running iOS 17.2 or later versions. The app features live scores and stats from prominent football leagues including the Premier League, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Serie A, LaLiga, and Liga MX. Moreover, it covers major American leagues such as Major League Soccer (MLS), the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the National Hockey League (NHL), offering season-long engagement for fans.
Eddy Cue, Apple's Senior Vice President of Services, emphasized the app's capability to provide swift access to scores and statistics. He highlighted that users would be able to stay updated with the latest information on their favorite teams and leagues.
