Apple has changed: Stage Manager is no longer exclusive to iPads with M1!

Apple had initially announced Stage Manager, one of the key features of iPadOS 16, which enables the use of multiple applications at the same time, as a feature exclusive to iPads with the M1 chip. However, Apple surprisingly changed its mind. The company has decided to bring Stage Manager to more iPads.

Apple announced iPadOS 16 alongside iOS 16 at the WWDC 2022 event held last June. Despite the rollout of iOS 16, iPadOS 16 has yet to arrive on iPads. While the new software version is expected to reach iPads in October, one of its key features, Stage Manager, which has been described as a new multitasking system, continues to attract attention.

APPLE STAGE MANAGER VOID THE DECISION!

It was previously announced that the Stage Manager feature is only available on iPads with the M1 chip. However, according to a statement Apple shared with Engadget, it has given up on this decision. According to Apple's statement, Stage Manager will not be exclusive to iPads with the M1 chip, and the feature will also come to third and fourth generation iPad Pros (with A12X Bionic and A12Z Bionic chips).

YET THERE IS SOMETHING SPECIAL TO M1 CHIP iPads

However, support for using Stage Manager with external displays will still be exclusive to iPads with the M1 chip. External display support for Stage Manager on M1 iPads will be available in a software update later this year.

Apple says customers with 3rd and 4th generation iPad Pros are very interested in experiencing Stage Manager on their iPad, while their teams are working hard to find a way to offer up to four simultaneous applications on the iPad screen on these systems. .
