AirPods Pro 2 is on the agenda with Battery Replacement Error

Apple recently announced the highly anticipated second generation of its AirPods Pro 2 wireless earbuds, but similar to the iPhone 14 series, even its new earbuds appear to be facing bugs shortly after launch.

Some users are complaining about a bug in the Find My app that triggers battery replacement notifications. This bug affects nearby devices when the battery of AirPods Pro headphones or MagSafe Charging Case is low. For those who don't know, AirPods Pro 2 comes with the Find My feature belonging to the U1 chip to always share battery levels.

AirPods Pro 2 'Replace Battery Soon' Error Increasingly Raised

So this new feature on the second generation AirPods Pro is likely to be the cause of this new bug. Judging by the notification, users are being asked to "replace the battery soon" . However, even more interestingly, it is not technically possible to replace the batteries in the AirPods Pro and it is sufficient to charge the device only.

Incoming notifications in particular look similar to the one used for AirTag when its battery is nearly empty and needs to be replaced. So there is a possibility that the Find My app is confusing the AirPods Pro 2 with the AirTag . So users don't have to worry about their new second generation AirPods Pro being a faulty product.
